Christmas Eve...

My dad and Steven spent the whole day building a swing set, and it was completed 20 minutes before dinner - good timing! I know the girls will have a lot of fun using it in the next few years... The swing set is residing in the back of our yard, not in our driveway ;)

The Christmas dinner: svineribbe (pork), medisterpølse (Norwegian sausage), red and yellow surkål (sauerkraut), potatoes, brussel sprouts, peas, and gravy. Delicious!

Santa Claus found the way to our house, and everyone enjoyed the gifts, food and cakes, drinks and games into the late hours of the night.

Visitors from Norway

Pappa, Eva, Lars Erik and Torgeir flew in from Bergen/Norway on Dec 20 and are staying for 2 full weeks over Christmas and New Years. They spent 2-3 days before Christmas with Anika and Freya, shopping, and visiting downtown D.C.

First tooth!

Freya's first tooth poked out from her gums a couple of days before Christmas! She is fine, no fever, but wants to chew on EVERYTHING! She also demands to sit up so she can see more, and she can now sit by herself (been training for a week).

Freya 4 months and 16 lb!

Freya grows like a weed, and at her 4-month checkup she weighted in at 16 lb (7.3kg) and 28" (71cm)! A big girl in other words! ... and today, a couple of weeks later I see her first tooth sticking up from the lower gums! No wonder she wants to chew on everything she can get hold of, including her toes...

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, the entire Hatley family was at our house for 4 full days. It was great to see everyone again, especially Shaman who was visiting from India (conference, guest speeches, etc.), Ram from California and Earl from Oklahoma. Chris and Kathleen made the trip from Brooklyn. We had lots of incredibly tasty food thanks to Steve and Kathleen. Ram brought cases of wonderful wine. It will be a while until all four Hatley boys are together again and with both of their parents!
